WCS student places at North American International Auto Show student poster contest

Chapelle Williams, student in the Visual Imaging and Printing Technology program at the Career Preparation Center, received the Most Creative Award at the North American International Auto Show 29th Annual Student Poster Contest.

Williams, who is also a senior at Cousino High School, was one of 15 students to receive an award for her work. 890 entries were received from 70 schools across Michigan.

“The work and creativity displayed by these young people is an exciting window into the future as to the talent the automotive design community may one day be the beneficiary of,” said Sam Slaughter, 2017 NAIAS Chairman. “The winning posters are examples of what this contest is all about: the creative minds of Michigan’s future and a passion for the industry.”

Williams received a cash prize of $250 and her work with be on display from January 14-22 at the North American International Auto Show, as well as on the NAIAS website http://naias.com/about/public-show/contests/poster-contest/
