Financial Aid...

As seniors are in the midst of applying for college admission, it's important to also prepare to apply for financial aid. Last year we hosted a financial aid information night to provide a general overview of the financial aid process. If you need a reminder of the information shared, you can view a video of that presentation.

Seniors are encouraged to complete their financial aid applications beginning October 1, or shortly thereafter, because some financial aid is available on a first come, first served basis. Before completing the FAFSA, your student and one parent in the household must each create an FSA ID and password and gather the information on the FAFSA Checklist. The FSA ID is a username and password unique to the user and should be created at least one week prior to completing the FAFSA. If you feel you will need help completing the FAFSA, Oakland University offers private FAFSA Appointments open to the public at their main campus in Rochester and their campus in Clinton Township; registration is open now.

The deadline for these scholarships is June 1, 2017  --- But don't wait until the deadline to pursue these opportunities!
