Chris Edwards pitched a gem in game three of the Tournament on Saturday, defeating Clawson High School 7-5. Edwards struck out 3 batters in the game and allowed just 6 hits. Darrin Pierce led the offense, collecting 2 hits in the game. Devon Davis, Anthony Morolli, Jon Becker, Brenden Evert, and Bannon O'Brien each added a hit in the game. A big win for the Stallions who next play at Jimmy John's Field on Wednesday at 7:00pm against New Haven. Be there!

In game two of the tournament, Anthony Morolli got the start on the mound, pitching 4 solid innings, striking out 4 batters against Warren Mott High School. Jon Becker pitched the final inning, striking out 1. Morolli, Nate Dulecki, Becker, Simon Momeyer, and Chris Edwards each had a hit in the game. Darrin Pierce scored the Stallion run as the Stallions lost 7-1.

Nate Dulecki, Austin Marsee, and Joe Karbousky led the offensive attack in game one of the Marauder Classic Tournament on Saturday against Parkway Christian, but the offensive output was not enough as the Stallions fell 7-2. Darrin Pierce and Bannon O'Brien scored the Stallion runs in the game. Simon Momeyer pitched a tremendous game, throwing 5 and 1/3 innings, allowing just 4 hits and striking out 4. Nate Dulecki pitched the final 2/3 innings, striking out 1 batter.

Austin Marsee got the start on Thursday as the Varsity Baseball team battled Centerline High School in the final league game of the season. Marsee pitched 3 innings, allowing just 3 hits and striking out 4. Nate Dulecki pitched the next two innings, allowing just 2 hits. Devon Davis and Mario Graziani closed the game in relief. The solid pitching performances were not enough though as the Stallions fell to Centerline. Devon Davis and Anthony Morolli each had a hit in the game, with Morolli scoring a run. The Stallions next play in their annual Cancer Tournament on Saturday with games beginning at 9:30am at Sterling.

The varsity baseball team was led by Jon Becker on Thursday against Centerline High School, who went 2-3 at the plate with an RBI. Austin Marsee added a double, and Anthony Morolli, Nate Dulecki, Darrin Pierce, and Brendan Evert each had a hit in the game. The offensive output was not enough, as the Stallions fell 8-2. Chris Edwards got the start, throwing three innings, striking out 1. Simon Momeyer pitched the final four innings, striking out 5 in the game. The Stallions next play at Centerline on Thursday at 4:30.

The Varsity Baseball team defeated South Lake on Thursday by a score of 6-1. Austin Marsee threw a gem, pitching a complete game and allowing just 3 hits while striking out 10. Devon Davis threw out 3 baserunners attempting to steal second in the game to stop every offensive chance South Lake had in the game. Nate Dulecki led the offense, going 2-2 with 2 RBI. Devon Davis and Simon Momeyer each added a hit in the game. A big win for the Stallions who next play on Monday at Centerline at 4:30.

The Varsity Baseball team lost in a night game at Clawson High School 7-0 on Friday. The offense just could not manage many hits in the game on a very windy day. Nate Dulecki had the lone Stallion hit in the game. Darrin Pierce pitched 3 and 2/3 solid innings, striking out 1 batter. Austin Marsee closed the game, pitching 2 and 1/3 innings, striking out 4. The Stallion next play on Monday at home against South Lake.

Sophomore Chris Edwards pitched a gem of a game on Wednesday as the Varsity baseball team battled Clawson High School. Edwards went the distance, striking out 4 batters in the game, but the Stallions lost 7-5. Being down 7-3 entering the bottom of the 7th, the Stallions battled back to plate two runs to cut the lead to 7-5, but could not manage to plate the runs needed. Junior Anthony Morolli led the offense, going 2-4 with 1 run and 3 RBI. Nate Dulecki, Jon Becker, and Darrin Pierce each added hits in the game. A tough loss, but the Stallions look to rebound on Thursday and take the series at Clawson at 4:30.

Game #11 - SHHS vs. Clawson

Result: WIN 11-6 League Record: (1-3) Overall Record: (5-6)

Nate “The Great” Dulecki ripped a bases loaded triple in the sixth inning to provide the Stallions with the winning margin. He had two hits and scored two runs. Anthony Morolli not only pitched his way to the win, he also had two hits, scored twice and had an RBI. Chris Edwards also pitched. Darrin Pearce had two hits, scored a run and had an RBI. Austin Marsee went 2-for-4 and knocked in a run.

The Varsity baseball team came back from a 7-6 deficit by scoring 5 big runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to defeat Clarkston Everest High School by a final score of 11-7. Anthony Morolli started the game, throwing 4 innings, striking out 4 and allowing 1 earned run. Chris Edwards pitched the final three innings, allowing 2 earned runs and striking out 3. The offense was led by Nate Dulecki, who went 3-4 with 2 runs scores and 2 RBI. Devon Davis went 2-3 with an RBI. Anthony Morolli went 2-4 with 2 runs and 3 RBI. Darren Pierce added two hits and 2 RBI. A big win for the Stallions who next play on Monday at Clawson at 4:30.

Sterling VS Lincoln Abes

Sweeping a doubleheader has a tendency to put a smile on the face of most coaches, especially an optimistic one like Lindsay, and that is just what the Stallions did. They defeated the Lincoln Abes 19-2 in the first game, and squeaked out a 4-3 win in the second. Sterling Heights is 2-2 on the young season.

In the opener, Devon Davis ripped two singles and scored two runs. Jon Becker also racked up a pair of hits. He also scored a run. Pitcher Anthony Morolli went 2-for-3 and scored twice. He also fanned 10. In the second game, Morolli had another hit and knocked in a run. Nate Dulecki went 2-for-3 and scored a run. Pitcher Chris Edwards got the win in relief. Starter Austin Marsee went the first 4 1/3 innings.
