Council Goals
- To help children within the Warren Consolidated School District with
confidential emergency monetary assistance.
- This assistance is to help promote optimal health, which enables children
to maintain good attendance throughout the year.
- The Council's additional goal is to sponsor/participate in health
educational activities that will benefit our children.
About Us
We are a non-profit organization with the sole purpose of functioning as advocates for the health and well-being of our district's children.
Donations and contributions are from:
- The generous WCS students and their families
- Council-sponsored fund raisers
- WCS school organizations
- Corporate and community sponsors
Referrals for Assistance
Strict confidentiality is maintained throughout the entire referral process. A student’s need is brought to the attention of the school personnel, which is then referred to the principal. The school personnel assesses the need for services, i.e. food, clothing or medical assistance. The school personnel makes a referral to the available community resources. If community resources are unavailable, then the request is presented to the WCS Health Council Board in writing for possible funding.
You may also contact the district’s school nurse, Mary Price, at (586) 825-2400 ext. 45140

FOOD BASKETS
Families and students donate canned goods during their school food drives to help families in need.
