Are You My Mother?

The experiment was meant to answer the question, "What are the best factors for imprinting a chick?" Eight chicks would be used to run a three-factor Design of Experiment to test the factors. The three factors were the rearing condition, how long it was imprinted for, and what the chick was imprinted to.

Only one of the eggs hatched, forcing the researchers to only imprint one chick to a person. The chick was tested twice, once after he was imprinted for fifteen minutes, and after he was imprinted for two hours. The times from the second trial were faster than the times from the first trial, leading us to believe it was the results of the longer imprinting process, or the age of the chicken.
