Better Than Dirt

Soil samples from a hole in Macomb County were taken at one foot intervals, with the lowest depth being four feet deep. For each of the depths, three styrofoam cups were filled with soil. Thirty milliliters of water were poured into each cup. Radish seeds were pre-germinated by placing them inside a folded wet paper towel for two days. The sprouts were then planted into each cup. The growth of each of the plants was recorded for the following 15 days.
