The Effects of Caffeine on Annual Rye Grass

We wanted to find ways to improve plant growth to possibly improve lawns or find a new type of fertilizer. We found that some research concluded that caffeine improved the growth of rye grass. This research looked promising in finding a method to improve lawns. So, we decided to test the effects on rye grass using four variables: tap water, instant coffee, instant decaffeinated coffee, and a pure caffeine/water solution. We tested the effects of these variables on both germinating rye grass and mature rye grass. Our testing lasted for two weeks on each group.
