THE EFFECTS OF pH, INCUBATION TEMPERATURE, AND PENCILLIN LEVELS ON THE GROWTH OF MICROCOCCUS LUTEUS

Our purpose was to determine if pH, incubation temperature, and penicillin levels had an affect on the growth of Micrococcus luteus. We ran a three factor D.O.E. twice through while varying the pH, temperature, and penicillin levels in which the bacteria grew. The bacteria grew overnight and we recorded the number of colonies that developed. When all six effects were tested for significance, only pH had a significant effect on the growth of Micrococcus luteus.
