LONGEVITY OF BATTERIES
The purpose of our experiment was to determine which of four factors had the greatest effect on the longevity of the battery. Our factors were resistance, temperature, the size of the battery, and the chemical type of the battery. We measured the change in voltage of each battery using LabPro software before and after an hour of running the battery on a motor. We conducted a four-factor Design of Experiment (DOE) with the variables and found which variables had a significant effect. We determined that the effects of resistance, temperature, size, resistance and temperature, resistance and chemical type, and size and chemical type were significant.
