The Effect Of Chlorine Concentration, Lighting, And Swim Cap Brand On The Elasticity Of The Swim Cap

The purpose of this experiment was to determine and compare the effects of chlorine concentration, lighting, and swim cap brand on the elasticity of the swim cap. To conduct the experiment a concentration of chlorine was mixed into 500-mL of tap water, then a brand of swim cap was placed in the water and then placed under a specific lighting. We hypothesized that a high chlorine concentration, UV lighting, and the Z-Leader swim cap would have the greatest effect on the elasticity of the swim cap. We were able to accept our hypothesis by conducting a three-factor DOE and the results showed that the high chlorine concentration, UV lighting, and the Z-Leader swim cap had the greatest effect on the elasticity of the swim cap. The three factor DOE analysis revealed that the chlorine concentration, lighting, and swim cap brand all significantly affected the elasticity of the swim cap.
