5-23-2017 @ MAC Blue Division Championship

Tuesday, the Sterling boys traveled to LCN to compete at the MAC Blue championship meet. The Stallions fought hard and finished in what was a very tight battle all the way to the end of the night. The Stallions finished the championship meet 2nd in the MAC Blue. Leading the herd as MAC Blue individual champions were Josh Davis taking 1st in the 100m, Kauron Oatman taking 1st in the 300m hurdles, George Georgis taking 1st in pole vault, and Jake Cadle taking 1st in discus.

Those athletes who qualify for the Macomb County Championships will travel to Dakota High School Thursday for an exciting and energizing night of track and field action.


5-19-2017 @ MHSAA Regionals

The SHHS Boys track team finished up competition at the MHSAA Regional track meet held at Dakota High School last Friday. Medalists included Kauron Oatman taking 3rd in the 300m Hurdles, Shane Morast taking 5th in the 100m dash, DeQuan Oliver taking 6th in long jump, Chris Lebelt taking 6th in the 800m, Omar Uddin 7th in the mile, and Percy Daniel taking 8th in High Jump. The Stallions' next meet will be the MAC Blue Division Championship Meet Tuesday at LCN.


5-13-2017 @ Dakota Invites

This past Saturday, the Stallions' boys track team took a few athletes to the Dakota Invitational held at Dakota High School. The Stallions came away with 6 medals thanks to Percy Daniel taking 6th in high jump, George Georgis and Remaur Haynes taking 6th and 7th in pole vault, Kyle Tomasewski taking 5th in shot put, Kauron Oatman taking 5th in the 300 Hurdles, and Chris Lebelt taking 6th in the 800m run. There were a long line of personal bests throughout the meet, and Stallions look ready going into the regional meet held at Dakota this Friday. Good luck boys!

5-9-2017 @ Fraser

The boys track and field team fell to Fraser last night in what was a very tight battle early. Field event athletes carried the day with Jake Cadle taking 1st in discus and Vonte Rouse taking 3rd. Cadle also took 2nd in Shotput while Kyler Tomaszewski won the event. The pole vault crew of George Georgis, Remaur Haynes, and Dominic Poci did another fantastic job taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

The Stallions finish the dual meet season 2nd in the MAC Blue with a record of 4-1, with the MAC Blue division Meet coming soon. The next meet the boys will have is the Dakota Invite this weekend, and the MHSAA Regional finals next week Friday. Good luck boys!



5-3-2017 @ Lanse Cruese North

The boys track team defeated Lanse Cruese North yesterday 95-41. Top performances were by the hurdle crew taking a sweep of 1-2-3 lead by junior Kauron Oatman, and seniors Stephen Robinson, and Paul Ches. The Stallions also swept the high jump, thanks to DeQuan Oliver, Percy Daniel and Malot Dushaj. The Stallions are rolling and remain undefeated and tied for 1st place in the MAC Blue.Their next meet will be Tuesday, May 9th at Fraser, the other undefeated team in the MAC Blue. Winner take all, whoever wins that meet, will win the MAC Blue dual meet crown.  This should be a good one, so come out to Fraser next week Tuesday. See you there!



4-28-2017 - Harold Arft Invite

The Boys Track Team finished up the Harold Arft Invitational on Friday night with 18 teams joining in the action. The Stallion boys finished tied for 6th overall as a team. Junior Josh Davis lead the pack by winning the 100m dash and 200m dash while also leading off the 2nd place 4x200m relay team, but the Stallions' were not done yet. Senior Jake Cadle also took first in discus throwing over 137ft 2in. Other event medalists were DeQuan Oliver, Kauron Oatman, Kyle Tomasewski, Shane Morast, and George Georgis. Great job boys.Their next event will be this Wednesday, at Lanse Cruese North to take on the Crusaders. The Stallion boys remain undefeated and tied for 1st in the MAC Blue.


4-25-2017 vs Marine City

The Boy's Track team defeated Marine City last night 98-39. The Stallions had a slew of first place finishes including a sweep of the high jump taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with DeQuan Oliver, Malot Dushaj, and Percy Daniel. The Stallions also swept the mile thanks to Omar Uddin, Mike Burley, and Jared Folden taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd as well. The Stallion Boys are now 3-0 this season, and tied for 1st in the MAC Blue. Great job boys!Our next meet is at home, this Friday 4/28 as the Stallions host the Harold Arft Sterling Heights Invite with teams from all over Metro Detroit.


4-21-2017 @ Anchor Bay

The Boy's Track team finished in a 4th place finish at the Anchor Bay Relays this past weekend against some of the top schools in the county. Top Performers were the pole vault relay taking 1st place with George Georgis, Remaur Haynes, and freshman Kas Juncaj. Georgis hit a new personal best in the pole vault as well. The Stallions had a host of 2nd and 3rd place medals including the 4x100m relay, the distance medley relay, the Shot & Discus 4x100m Relay, the 4x200m Relay, the High Jump Relay, Sprint Medley Relay, the Anchor Bay Tars Relay, and the 1600m Cross-Country Relay. Great job boys!
Our next meet is at home, Tuesday 4/25 against Marine City. Come out and support your team!



4-18-2017 vs Cousino

The Boys Track Team finished up a tough battle at home against the Warren Cousino Patriots.The Boys came out victorious 99-38 with Josh Davis and Kauron Oatman leading the charge winning the 100m and 200m dashes and the 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles. The Stallions also swept the 200m dash and high jump thanks to Josh Davis, Shane Morast, and Adrian Gamage in the 200m and DeQuan Oliver, Malot Dushaj and Percy Daniel in the high jump. The Stallions are in action next friday, April 21, at the Anchor Bay Relays.

4-12-2017 @ Warren Mott

Congratulations to the Sterling Heights Boys Track team for defeating Warren-Mott 90-42. Josh Davis lead the team winning the 100m & 200m dashes while also being on the winning 400m Relay Team. Sterling had a great night taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd in high jump, the 110m Hurdles, and the 2 Mile. Macomb county qualifiers were Malot Dushaj in high jump, Stephen Robinson and Kauron Oatman in the 110m Hurdles, and Josh Davis in the 200m dash. Stephen Robinson, Kauron Oatman, and Paul Ches swept the 110m hurdles. Malot Dushaj, DeQuan Oliver, and Percy Daniel swept the High jump event. And Jared Folden, Mike Burley, and Omar Uddin swept the 2 mile.
