Positive Behavior Support
What
is School Wide Positive Behavior Support?
Positive Behavior Support
(PBS) is a broad range of systematic and individualized strategies for
achieving important social and learning outcomes while preventing
problem behavior.
In other words:
PBS is a way to give
positive reinforcement to children so that they are not reaching for
negative attention. The goal of PBS is to encourage students to follow
school rules relating to both social and academic skills.
